Background:

Public Works is in the process of updating their 5-year Transportation Master Plan (CIP#02207078). They currently have $167,730 budgeted but will need additional funding in the amount of $103,040 to cover an amendment to a Work Order they have with Jacobs Engineering. This amendment covers additional funding needed due to increase in contract time, material fees, and increased rates.

The department identified available funds in the Dirt Rd Paving Project (CIP#02007094) that can be transferred to this project. Funds are being reduced in the Dirt Rd Paving Project that are not needed as some of the dirt roads budgeted do not meet the County’s Right of Way standards or have citizen’s support to be paved. There will be no impact on 2014 Infrastructure Sales Tax reserves.

Requested Action:

Staff requests the Board approve and authorize the Chairman to execute a Resolution implementing Budget Amendment Request (BAR) #24-075 in the 2014 Infrastructure Sales Tax Fund to transfer $103,040 of existing budget for the Transportation 2045 Master Plan update.
